This Pine Mountain Lake maternity is extra special because of the history! To say that I was excited for this session in the understatement of the century. Melissa and Jay are the absolute best! I photographed their engagement and wedding over 5 years ago and some family sessions along the way. This one is the most special because they have welcomed a beautiful baby boy.

One of the things I remember about their wedding day is the village they were surrounded by. They had such love and support surrounding them and based on the speeches they are pretty much the best people ever. I’ve always had such a blast photographing and getting to know them over the years. Little man is going to have such badass parents and such a huge community of love around him. Melissa and Jay tied the knot close to Pine Mountain lake, where their family has had a cabin for years. It was so awesome to see things go full circle as I met them back in these mountains for their maternity session. A quick stop at the dock on this cloudy day and then we headed to find the perfect little riverside spot.
